Day 1: Buran Ghati Trek – Shimla to Janglik

Buran Ghati trek is another adventure vacation that leaves you refreshed from the hustle-bustle of hectic lives. After having lunch, you can resume your journey to the base camp. Janglik, the base camp of Buran Ghati trek in Himachal Pradesh is one of the beautiful high altitudes mountains view nestled amidst the rising Janglik village in Himachal.
Day 2: Janglik to Dyara Thatch
Altitude: 11,150 ft
Distance: 4 km
Time Taken: 5-6 hours
Janglik near Shimla in Himachal acts as the base camp of Buran Ghati trek. The scenic view of the wheat fields, wildflowers, fresh air, wooden farmhouses and also beautiful aura along the trekking routes is a treat to your eyes. Trek to Litham from Dyara Thatch, takes you through the dense forest of Pine and Oak trees, small streams, lush green meadows that look picturesque throughout the trail. After crossing the forest of Birch trees, trekkers can also get a clear view of the Litham campsite.
Day 4: Acclimatization day, visit Chandranahan Lake
Altitude: 13,800 ft
Distance: 3 km
Time Taken: 6-7 hours
A campsite surrounded by the splendid mountains and the Chandranahan Lake makes this place one of the most adventurous trekking destinations in Himachal. The climb is steep ascent-descent takes you through the Chandtanahan Lake. The panoramic view of the Lake adds the magical charm of nature’s beauty, will take your breath away in seconds. After spending time here, steep descent to Litham campsite. Reach, relax and then overnight stay in a tent.
Day 5: Litham to Dhund
Altitude: 13,100 ft

Start the trek to Dhund from Litham, trail adorned with the captivating view of the snow-capped peaks leave you spellbound. The trail is all the more spectacular with the white mountains around and also the beauty of the Litham. The first view of the Buran Ghati awaits you as you finally reach the top of the Buran Pass.

Day 6: Dhunda to Munirang via Buran Ghati Pass
Altitude: 11,800 ft via 15,000 ft
Distance: 7 km
Time Taken: 10-11 hours
The trek starts from Dhunda to Munirang via Bura Ghati Pass, through the unmatched views of the snowy mountains. Trekking up to Buran Ghati, standing at the height of 15,000 ft also offers an inspiring panorama of nature’s beauty. After 4 hours’ steep ascent, finally reached Buran Pass.
As you reach the Buran Pass, splendid views of the snow-covered peaks painted in multicolor and trekkers also enjoy the different aura with every passing moment. One kilometer steep climb to Munirang, through a rocky trail, grasslands and the ice sheets. And then, overnight stay in the tents.
Day 7: Buran Ghati Trek- Munirang to Buran village, Drive to Shimla
Altitude: 6,600 ft
Distance: 5 km
Time Taken: 4-5 hours
Finally entered the day 7 from Munirang to Buran village, the trek passes through the pines trees, small streams and the beauty of the trail. Picturesque landscapes and artistic nature of Buran Ghati trekking trail, making you rejuvenated to handle upcoming situations of life.
Trekkers may spot the tremendous views of the apricot trees, apple orchards, large streams; seem to have you landed in a magical world. From Buran village, half an hour climb to reach the road where the taxi will pick-up you by afternoon. You will reach Shimla by 10-11 pm.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO BEFORE GOING TO TREK?
Prepare your body-
- Running, Walk, Running
Running & Walking is the easiest and best for good health and trekking. Since the daunting of trekking & climbing requires long hours of public walk, ride, or drive, you must practice running or walking ablest one hour daily. Long walks during trekking make you tired those times and walk increase your fitness levels.
The benefits of running-
- Loosing of extra pounds weight
- Lower risk of heart problem
- Improve and balance blood circulation
- Increase stamina
- Walking with solder-load or weighted bag
Since trekking requires long time walks with a bag 5 kilos on your solder, a sudden weight on your shoulders. Put 5-6 kilos bag and try to walk 2-3 minutes and repeat this 10 times in 24 hours. If you have weight vest the try to run if you have not weighted vest the fill your bag with some books and wasted newspaper to weight.
- Climb stairs Up & Down
A mandatory aspect of trekking is ascending and descending trek. Ascend and descend walking is the most difficult tasks one faces during such trekking. For fitness practice, you regularly climb stairs. Regular climbing stair provides stronger muscles and better mental reflexes. Every day 5-10 minutes of stair climbing or 45 min walk or 20 min running reduces the risk of heart problem and increasing your stamina.
- Leg Exercises
Sports like football and hockey which involve running can be the best exercise. Cycling is also best exercise to boost up your muscles. You also follow leg exercises.

Repeat those exercises 2-3 time in a day to prepared for trekking in Himalayas.
- Mental and physiological fitness
Mentally and physiological fitness is more important for fitness. If you find some time for yourself then meditate. Meditation is best exercise for the Mental and physiological fitness.
