The best time to do the Nag Tibba Trek in Uttarakhand Himalayas is in the summer months, from April to July. In the winter months, from September to December. If you love to experience snow trekking, the best months to travel to Nag Tibba would be January to March.

Day 1 – Drive to Pantwari and trek to Nag Mandir Campsite.Trekking
Distance: 4 km
Altitude: 4,642 ft
Drive from Dehradun to Pantwari village via Mussoorie, Kempty falls. Reach Pantwari village starting point of the trek. Pantwari village is located in Dhanaulti Tehsil of Tehri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand. Trekkers can see many species of birds, mountain peaks and rhododendron trees. The native language of pantwari is Hindi and Sanskrit. The total trekking distance from Pantwari to NagTibba summit is 8km.
NagTibba Trek start from pantwari village. Trekking in Garhwal Himalaya, passes through beautiful forest and one may see the Himalayan black, musk deer and an opportunity to capture these beautiful animals in shutters. Nag Devta temple is on the way, where god who carries a snake around his neck. Thousands of trekker visit this shrine, especially on the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami.
Day 2 – Nag Mandir to Nag Tibba Summit and Return to Bhatwadi then drive to Dehradun.

After having breakfast, it will be time to take an excursion to Nag Tibba summit. The beautiful campsite, located in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas and jotted with several colourful meadows, natural beauty all around. Arriving in Nag Tibba summit, enjoy the wonderful as well as scenic beauty of the Nag Tibba summit.
From Nag Tibba summit, trekkers can capture the spectacular 360-degree. Ranging from Nanda devi the Garhwal peaks of the Bandarpunchh peak, Gangotri group of peaks, Kedarnath peak are clearly visible. One can also see Doon Valley, and the snow-clapped mountains of Chanabang, Chaukhamba, Swargrohini. A day amidst these natural beauty and wonders will make it up for some of the most memorable and enjoyable memories.
After enjoying delicious lunch with wonderful views around we prepare for a scenic walk back to Pantwari. Arriving in the town and drive to Dehradun. Reach the destination, relax and sink into nostalgia of the journey gone by.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO BEFORE GOING TO TREK?
Prepare your body-
- Running, Walk, Running
Running & Walking is the easiest and best for good health and trekking. Since the daunting of trekking & climbing requires long hours of public walk, ride, or drive, you must practice running or walking ablest one hour daily. Long walks during trekking make you tired those times and walk increase your fitness levels.
The benefits of running-
- Loosing of extra pounds weight
- Lower risk of heart problem
- Improve and balance blood circulation
- Increase stamina
- Walking with solder-load or weighted bag
Since trekking requires long time walks with a bag 5 kilos on your solder, a sudden weight on your shoulders. Put 5-6 kilos bag and try to walk 2-3 minutes and repeat this 10 times in 24 hours. If you have weight vest the try to run if you have not weighted vest the fill your bag with some books and wasted newspaper to weight.
- Climb stairs Up & Down
A mandatory aspect of trekking is ascending and descending trek. Ascend and descend walking is the most difficult tasks one faces during such trekking. For fitness practice, you regularly climb stairs. Regular climbing stair provides stronger muscles and better mental reflexes. Every day 5-10 minutes of stair climbing or 45 min walk or 20 min running reduces the risk of heart problem and increasing your stamina.
- Leg Exercises
Sports like football and hockey which involve running can be the best exercise. Cycling is also best exercise to boost up your muscles. You also follow leg exercises.
- Leg Curls

Repeat those exercises 2-3 time in a day to prepared for trekking in Himalayas.
- Mental and physiological fitness
Mentally and physiological fitness is more important for fitness. If you find some time for yourself then meditate. Meditation is best exercise for the Mental and physiological fitness.
One of the most impotent things for trekking and maintaining is support and encouragement of your family and friends.
