Valley of Flowers Trek has many different colorful flowers, taking on various shades of colors as time progressed. Flowers mostly orchids , poppies , primulas, marigold, daisies and anemones carpet the ground.  Sub-alpine forests of birch and rhododendron cover parts of the park’s area. Legends believe it to be the place from where Hanuman had collected the Sanjeevani buti for curing Lakshmana. Valley of Flowers remains covered with a thick blanket of snow during the winter season. Valley of Flowers is in full bloom, trekkers can visit during July to September. This is the best time to explore the splendor of  the Valley of flowers trek. Trekking in Uttarakhand Himalaya at the of summers is an experience which no trekkers should miss.

The one of the most popular trekking routes where you can experience to trek in one time Hemkund trek and Valley of flowers trek. If you are a beginner, valley of flowers and hemkund trek is best for you. And, this trek is also great for the families, one of the best family weekend trek in summers. Valley of flowers trek is a tourist paradise and the trail offers the incredible panoramic views. The best part of the trekking in June-July is you can get a chance to see the excellent view of the flowers and colourful valley under the clear sky.

It has been recognized internationally for over a century and is referenced in the Hindu religion. The Valley of Flowers has many different colourful flowers, taking on various shades of colors as time progressed. The valley of flowers was declared a national park in 1982 and now it is a World Heritage Site.The Valley of Flowers is nestled in the upper expanses of Bhyundar Ganga near Joshimath in Garhwal region. The lower reaches of Bhyundar Ganga near Gobindghat are known as Bhyundar Valley. Valley of Flowers Trek is in the Pushpawati valley 23 km north-northwest of Nanda Devi Park.

The valley has three sub-alpine between 3,200m and 3,500m which is the limit for trees, lower alpine between 3,500m and 3,700m, and higher alpine above 3,700m. The gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east. Together, they encompass a unique transition zone between the mountain ranges of the Zanskar and Great Himalaya. The Valley of Flowers is the home of over 500 species of wild flowers of unique design and colour.

Day 1 – Haridwar – Govindghat

Moderate uphill drive (275km), Begin a long distance drive from Haridwar to Joshimath and pass through the Devaprayag to witness the holy Sangam or Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form the River Ganges.

Valley of flowers and hemkund trekking trail experience makes you feel like you are on an beautiful trail with the colourful valley. Finally, arrived at Govindghat, a midpoint for other religious pilgrimage locations and our destination for Day 1.

 

Day 2 – Trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria (Trek 36km)

Final Altitude: 3049 mts,

Valley of Flowers Trek begins with sweet ascend to Govindghat (1828 mt / 22Km) and with a trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria (3049 mt / 14 km Trek). Hemkund trek happens in the constant presence of mountains and guided as it is scenic. Valley of flowers trek and hemkund Trekking trail is is absolutely energetic with its natural beauty and the marvelous waterfall and is one of the best treks in Indian Himalaya.

Day 3 – Trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib

Distance:  (7 Km)
Altitude: 4,329 mts

Follow a steep trail to Hemkund Sahib to visit the religious site where Guru Gobind Singh is
said to have meditated in a previous life. One may liberated in the peace and tranquillity of the
place, under the watchful presence of seven Snow-capped mountains. One ought to unwind
here. Wander around or simply relax and after lunch, start a late afternoon trek back to
Ghangaria. Prepare for the next day valley of flowers trek.

Day 4 – Trek from Ghangaria to Valley Of Flowers and back

Altitude: 3,858mts

Ready ?! Scaling a height of 3,858ms, you arrive at the Valley Of Flowers. As you reach your
destination, you are greeted by shear bliss. Feel the elation as you stand and marvel the carnival of soothing colours in the form of thousands of brilliant blooms. The pictures view with Himalayas all around, as if the majestic sentinels are standing guard as you meander and play !
Pour your heart in the moments, make memories and then head back to relax.

Day 6 – Drive from Govindghat to Haridwar

From Govindghat, drive to Joshimath. Take a quick detour at Auli if possible. Reach
Haridwar and take the bliss of the entire journey to Valley of flowers with you.

A trekking requires a lot of preparations to make sure that are physically and mentally ready for adventure. Here you can learn some basic life and survival skills, planning and organizing in this phase. We are giving some suggestions to make sure you are safe and enjoy your trekking adventure, Because of the changing environment, altitude, and terrains you’ll be facing Climbing & trekking is no small undertaking, so it is necessary that you give some time to prepare before you going to trekking & expedition in Himalayan Mountain.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO BEFORE GOING TO TREK?

Prepare your body-

  1. Running, Walk, Running

Running & Walking is the easiest and best for good health and trekking. Since the daunting of trekking & climbing requires long hours of public walk, ride, or drive, you must practice running or walking ablest one hour daily. Long walks during trekking make you tired those times and walk increase your fitness levels.

The benefits of running-

  • Loosing of extra pounds weight
  • Lower risk of heart problem
  • Improve and balance blood circulation
  • Increase stamina
  1. Walking with solder-load or weighted bag

Since trekking requires long time walks with a bag 5 kilos on your solder, a sudden weight on your shoulders. Put 5-6 kilos bag and try to walk 2-3 minutes and repeat this 10 times in 24 hours. If you have weight vest the try to run if you have not weighted vest the fill your bag with some books and wasted newspaper to weight.

  1. Climb stairs Up & Down

A mandatory aspect of trekking is ascending and descending trek. Ascend and descend walking is the most difficult tasks one faces during such trekking. For fitness practice, you regularly climb stairs. Regular climbing stair provides stronger muscles and better mental reflexes. Every day 5-10 minutes of stair climbing or 45 min walk or 20 min running reduces the risk of heart problem and increasing your stamina.

  1. Leg Exercises

Sports like football and hockey which involve running can be the best exercise. Cycling is also best exercise to boost up your muscles. You also follow leg exercises.

  • Sit-ups

  • Swimming
  • Swiss Ball Wall Squat
  • Stairs walk
  • Leg Curls

Repeat those exercises 2-3 time in a day to prepared for trekking in Himalayas.

  1. Mental and physiological fitness

Mentally and physiological fitness is more important for fitness. If you find some time for yourself then meditate. Meditation is best exercise for the Mental and physiological fitness.

One of the most impotent things for trekking and maintaining is support and encouragement of your family and friends.

Some other type to exercise your body that would give advantages and more benefit during ascent and descent trek way-

  • Yoga, stretching which helps maintain flexibility of your body
